Well it's been kinda useful. Guildies will tell me that they'll be absent and when I look at the calendar on raid day, I remember that they told me they were absent.
Also, there might be a guildie out there who is looking to see what we're planning and they'll see we have raids happening. Especially helpful for new members. Maybe they could come raid.
In the future (and sooner if we keep getting consistent help from other realms), I see moving the the website calendar more. Because here folks, regardless of location and guild, can sign up and we can plan around who is or is not coming. Furthermore, when we get big enough to have DKP be useful again, calendar sign ups on the website will be mandatory since that's how DKP will be tracked and viewed.
I'm not sure why, but Group 3's signups show on the in-game calendar....and NPAF's (formerly Group 2) hardly ever does....Grey, is there some secret you know to getting people to use the in-game calendar? Because planning raids has become a moot point and it's a bit irksome.
